Q. Will the student insurance plan cover all my medical expenses?
A. If they apply, your student insurance brochure will state plan deductibles, co- payments and total coverage amounts. Most student insurance programs provide secondary insurance coverage. Q. What are deductibles and co-payments?
A. A deductible is the amount that is paid by the insured prior to receiving payment coverage through the insurance plan.
A co-payment is when payment is made by both the insurer and insured for services rendered. As an example, an 80/20 plan allows for 80% payment by the insurer and remaining 20% is covered by the insured.
